The Never ending Zest!

Zest is all about energy.Zest is all about enthusiasm.Zest is all about 'never giving up'.Zest is all about fighting for the right.Zest is all about chasing dreams.Zest is all about living the passion. So,I am here to describe who and what will add Zest to my life!

*The First Zest : Sir Sachin Tendulkar

Well,As an Indian,I am always a die hard fan of Sir Sachin Tendulkar(even after his retirement)!.
The perfect role model,The crowd puller,The achiever,The God of cricket,The Most humble sportsperson,The Record Breaker,The Little Master,The Legend,Shane Warne's worst nightmare etc etc are some of the numerous nicknames of SRT!

Sachin's dedication and passion towards cricket was unimaginable. He surpassed the limits of the mere mortal and achieved the status of a 'superhuman' just because of his sheer hard work.He never gave up.He sacrificed the comfort of a normal life to achieve something for our India! His 'Zest' for cricket was simply superb! He achieved everything, but till now,he is just the same 'curly haired shy child prodigy'.And whenever he batted,India just stood still!Every heartbeat could be heard and the roar after his each and every of his records was simply awesome!
He has always motivated me to chase my dreams. His struggles remind me that 'Form is temporary and Class is permanent'.Thank You Sachin for the lovely memories!
May the Legend live Forever!

*The Second Zest : Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

The perfect 'Rags to Riches' story! The most believable fairy tale! The hard story of struggle! The journey towards stardom! The instant fame and recognition! From 'The people's Champ to The Hercules! That is the story of 'The Rock'!

Dwayne Johnson started as a football player during his college days at University of Miami and went on to win a National championship on the 1991 Miami Hurricanes football team. Then he started his journey towards stardom through WWE,following the footsteps of his grandfather and father who were legends in their own terms.

People instantly fell in love with the charming personality and the never ending drama of 'The Rock' which earned him the title 'The People's Champ',and of course,do not forget about Ten WWE world championship belts.

And who can forget the 'Zest' quote of  "Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson: In 1995 I had $7 bucks in my pocket and knew two things: I"m broke as hell and one day I won"t be."Good enough to raise the goosebumps.Good enough to motivate anybody.Good enough to fight back harder.Good enough a reason to 'Die another day'.And,I did exactly these! And I want to be as Zestful and Successful as 'The Great One'!

*The Third Zest : The Batman

Just a normal guy, well a billionaire, but simply laced with advanced technology, devoid of any superhuman ability, but still able to instill fear in the mindset of criminals......that is the best description of The Batman!
The kid who lost his parents early, the teenager who faced his fears of Bats and chose to become the Guardian of Gotham,The caped crusader,The Dark Knight,The lover who lost his love,The owner of Wayne Enterprises,The man who sacrificed his sleeps to keep Gotham free from the terror of criminals,The silent guardian,a watchful protector,The hero that Gotham deserved in true sense,The outcast,The person who can make the choice which no one else can make, the right choice!Bruce Wayne lost everything as a normal human being but Batman kept his 'Zest' alive and always delivered whenever Gotham needed 'The Dark Knight'.And he never cared about his personal losses which makes him 'A True Hero'!

*The Fourth Zest : Stephen Hawkings
The man who has almost defeated all the physical atrocities to create a magical saga that is based on tedious experiments, knowledge, application and brilliance. The legendary scientist who is acclaimed world-wide because of his momentous theoretical prediction proving that black holes emit radiation, is …perhaps the most respected personality in the field of physics…the reason being simple; he has made those critical aspects of the subject look very simple through his diligence and indomitable spirit, he is indeed a glowing example of spur, stimulation and arousal. The way he communicates through the artificial speech recognition devise is really amicable…shows that the intensity is pretty much there, the zeal to prove something to the world, to justify his mere existence…to inspire millions. His apocryphal contribution to the field of Physics has taken the world by surprise; people had ward-ed him off the course …a feeble little kid confined on a wheel-chair wouldn’t have gone so far ahead in life without incitation, without ‘hunger’….he is a glowing example to say the least, he is indeed the ‘appetite builder’ – the zest factor.
*The Fifth Zest : Michael Phelps
“I think he can see through the ‘layers’…he loves water more than he loves himself”- Anonymous. The man who has literally stunned the world of sports with the tally of 22 precious Olympic Gold Medals, indeed knows no bounds. When he dives into the water, it seems to be his own domain of paramountcy…almost like a sovereignty that is, it’s like a home-coming for him. He is a master in every possible stroke of the sport, his dominance knows no bounds and when it comes to setting world records, he is perhaps the best bait ever. His unbeatable tickle in the record books for 100-meter butterfly, 200-meter butterfly and 400-meter individual medley stands out to be quite the gem in his ‘multi-dimensional crown’…he is almost unassailable every time he jumps into the pool…his expressive eyes do announce the insurmountable passion hidden in them. There’s a ‘spur’ in his body language every-time he warms up for the big rally…he looks focused and ready for the challenge. His insuperable zest in indeed my driving force. His iconic words - “You can't put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get” does send in positive vibes….Michael, we are dying to see you creaming the pool yet again.

I can never resist Chicken Drumsticks!

The fresh aroma,
The alluring look,
The gorgeous platter,
I would be a fool if I do not let myself flatter!

If looks can kill,
Then this is the perfect deal.
If hotness is all I want,
Then please let me be frank!

I love to Eat,
No,I am always Fit!
Do not worry about the calories.
I love detox therapies :P

Let me indulge,
Let me gulp,
Let me treat my taste buds,
Time to trust my words!

No Smoke without Fire,
No Greed without Desire,
No Grill without Thrill,
Oh my friend!Take a chill pill.

Tonight,we will eat,
Tonight,we will not fight,
Tonight we will not resist,
The temptations of Chicken Drumsticks!

Thank you http://www.myborosil.com/ for salivating my taste buds :D

A Road Trip To Die For!

No ,as mere mortals, we can never separate ourselves from regular tensions.
We can never get away from pressures.
We can never free our souls from depression.
But, As we are the so called 'most intelligent species' of Planet Earth, we can always try to rejuvenate our tired limbs.
And, A Road Trip is the best way to achieve that rejuvenation!

Enough of this bullshit!Enough of these stupid deadlines!Enough of these meaningless presentations!Enough of these frustrations!
I screamed loudly at my roomie.
And, he replied 'what do you want man?'
I stared at him and replied 'I need a break from this monotonous life'.
He nodded silently and shot back 'And you mean what?'
I said: Nothing out of the box!Let's just take a break, plan a Road Trip and just Rock and Roll, like the good old times!
He smiled and said: There you go my boy!Count me in!

The very next day we got our leaves approved and we started our epic journey towards Manali!
As we reached Delhi, we crashed into a hotel to refresh our sore muscles. And after a long sleep of 12 hours, we woke up, enjoyed the dishes of Delhi while watching the gorgeous Delhi Gals :P

I wanted to experience the 'Highly Social' nightlife of Delhi, but my roomie dragged me and forced me to drive the car towards Manali. Slowly, Steadily and Dreamily we reached Chandigarh and I was instantly attracted towards the beauty and simplicity of Chandigarh. We took a break and had lunch at a Dhaba(you can never have enough of Chandigarh's delicious chicken and dal makhani). Then my roomie drove the car as I dozed off!

I woke up after almost 2 hours and as I looked through the car window, I saw greenery everywhere. I panicked and shouted at my roomie 'Are we lost'?
He smiled and replied: Relax, This is the beauty of Mother Nature. Just check the milestone on the road. I checked and the milestone showed 'Manali - 54 km'. I heaved a sigh of relief as I shifted my focus towards the never ending stretch of greenery all around. It was really a refreshing sight, a much-needed break from the concrete world! I plugged in my earphones as my iPod soothed my soul with 'yeh jo desh hai tera'.

After almost 45 minutes, a sudden rush of extremely cold air chilled our spines and we became sure that 'Ab Manali Door Nahi'. We parked our car as we wanted to inhale the fresh air after spending almost 10 years in the polluted atmosphere and trust me, the fresh air refreshed each and every cell of our mortal bodies.

Finally, we arrived at Manali and we crashed into the very first hotel that we could see. Both of us were very tired and we had our dinner, 3 pegs of rum and went off to sleep early as we knew that 'The action had only begun'.

Day 1:

We woke up late and experienced almost Zero degree temperature. We rushed to grab our coffee and then we were ready to explore Manali. Our fist stop was the 'Tibetan Monastery'.We went inside, gaped at the ancient architecture with wonder, seeked the divine blessings and took off for lunch. We had mutton for lunch and, believe me, mutton available at mountain regions tastes a lot better than the mutton available at other regions.

Our next destination was 'Van Vihar': the place where some famous Bollywood movies like Raaz and Krrish were shot! The forest was so dense that even during noon, the sunlight was unable to touch the ground. And the haunting shrieks of 'Sanjana, Sanjana (from the Bollywood movie Raaz)' started to haunt me. I shrugged off the haunting memories and tried to focus on Krrish. Then we were greeted with the splendor of 'Hadimba Temple'. The sight just stole our thoughts as we started to lose ourselves in appreciating the wonders of India.

We started exploring the deep forests but only after I instructed my roomie to look out for me because I was scared. And, as we strolled deep inside the forest, more and more inner peace engulfed our deprived souls.

Just when I was ready to take a nap inside the dense forest, My roomie imitated a werewolf and howled behind a tree. I was forced to rush towards the exit!

Day 2:

If you come to Manali and You do not set your foot on 'Rohtang Pass', then your journey is pointless. So we started our journey towards Rohtang Pass. The road was completely in Zig Zag motion and there were patches of snow all around us. It looked like we were amidst a Yash Raj Films set! Such was the beauty of Manali. As the altitude grew higher and higher, the level of oxygen and temperature decreased gradually. We halted at a camp and rented skating gears. After a treacherous journey of 15 minutes, we reached 'Rohtang Pass'. And I will never forget the sight! Snow, Snow everywhere, someone had painted the canvas of Mother Nature with the color White! And the mesmerizing view of Switzerland started to knock the doors of my Hollywood stricken brain! As we set foot on the forever white floor of 'Rohtang Pass', we experienced Heaven! And as we tried skating, a streak of failure greeted us as we were unable to maintain the right posture. I was fed up soon enough and rushed to grab a hot plate of Maggi, but my roomie continued his struggle! And when we left Rohtang Pass, I left a part of my soul there. Such was the magic of Rohtang Pass!

Day 3:

This was our last day at Manali and we had to make our girlfriends happy. So, we drove towards Kullu and started our shopping carnival. We purchased shawls, jackets, sweaters and some jewelry too! While returning back, my Bollywood mindset got better of me as I shrieked 'Zindagi naa milegi dobara, Let's go for Rafting!' And as my roomie reluctantly agreed, I rushed towards 'The River Beas'. After a couple of hours, we were completely exhausted and then we decided to call it a day.

We were back at the comfort at our hotel and I ordered another bottle of rum to warm our spirits. We dozed off after a few minutes. And the very next day, while leaving Manali, my eyes shredded a few drops of tear as I had found eternal peace at Manali. I promised myself that someday, I would visit Manali again!
